No? Guess what? That’s because it was a dismal failure! It only entered eight WRC events over four years and failed to finish four of those!
Look at this thing. It’s trying to be a Subaru sooooo hard.
Not even Monster Tajima could make this turd a success.

But who will rally to your defense when the chips are down and the cuffs are on?

i was an Esteem wagon maybe a week or so ago. I had no idea what it was. I t was a bit ahead of me on t he highway didn’ t i didn’ t have a hard time catching up. I was shocked at how small it was. The Fiat 500 behind it was taller.

A buddy of mine had one in college. Before we were friends. He says he loved it despite its many failings.
But of course the obvious joke was make and it was referred to as the “ Low self Esteem”

Or that time Saab sent a 9-3 Viggen up Pikes Peak...
Seen here looking mostly stock in 2002...
And a much wilder looking one from the same year. Different classes, of course.
Or when Hyundai sent an Elantra up Pikes Peak in ‘95.
Three years prior, Rod Millen got a win there with, of all things, a Hyundai Scoupe.

Ahhh I remember when I owned a Scoupe Turbo. Weird looking car. Neat interior. It never ran in the entire time I owned it but it was mostly rust free, which was cool. Sold it to an enthusiast who had two or three more Scoupes.
